DISTANCE
8.5 miles (Walked)
TOTAL SO FAR: 89.25 miles
For the whole of this section se were alongside the River Severn. Markers were few and far between, but, because it ran so close to the river bank, we couldn't really go wrong.
Crossed under a variety of bridges on this section. Parking at the start was Shrewsbury free Sunday parking and at the end, the Mytton & Mermaid. The added bonus on the walk was a Sunday lunch.

ROUTE MAP STAGE 10
Setting out from Shrewsbury was a typical riverside walk with cyclists, joggers and other dog-walkers. After a couple of miles in relatively built up areas, it developed into a river bank walk with anglers etc.
Some sections were very narrow tracks between river and steeply banked scrub / wooded areas. It did mean that the dogs had more free running time and they enjoyed a few paddles in the Severn.
The end 1/2 mile was alongside a busy road on a narrow footpath: much less fun!
